DJ HYDRA

A rising Afro House artist based in Asia, DJ Hydra is making waves with his hypnotic fusion of deep African rhythms and cutting-edge electronic textures.

2025 marked the launch of Hydra’s own label, Suru Records, with its first release Bamidele hitting #5 on the Traxsource Afro House chartand breaking into the main Top 10 chart. Supported by major names including Themba, Underspreche, Maxi Meraki, Clavette, MARMION, Paco Osuna, Ruben Mandolini, Leandro Silva, XiJaro and Pitch, it introduced Hydra to a global audience.

Hydra also signing to Grammy nominated DJ Spen and his revered Quantize Recordings and circulated at Defected Croatia’s annual event, further firmed his position on the scene. With a stream of releases and the launch of his own event brand, followed with worldwide media recognition featuring in DJ Mag Adria, Mixmag Germany, Mixmag Netherlands, Mixmag Asia, Ibiza Music Charts, Beatportal with guest mixes appearing on Select Radio, Londons leading dance music station.
